Updating Custom Enterprise Fields in PWA
Hello All,

I have what I think to be a small issue that I would love some help
with.

Issue:

When the name of an Enterprise Custom Field is changed in the Global
Template through Project Professional, the name is not delegated to my
views in PWA. Initially the name was "Overall Risk to Project" and I
wanted it changed to "Risk". Similar issue with four other names.

Attempts I have done to solve:
1.) Reboot the machine
2.) Create a new view with these 'new' variable names. When I look at
the enterprise custom name in the View Manager I see my new names, but
when I look at it through project center I still see the old name

What is the cause of this non-propagation?

Thanks, in advance, for all your help,

Andy

Re: Updating Custom Enterprise Fields in PWA
Never Mind,

They have been mysteriously updated.

Thanks,
Andy

I will let you know if I discover the cause.

Re: Updating Custom Enterprise Fields in PWA
Andy --

In the future, please post your Project Server questions to the
microsoft.public.project.server newsgroup, as this newsgroup is closing
down. To answer your question, when the Project Server administrator
changes the name of a custom enterprise field or outline code in the
Enterprise Global file, each PM must open and publish their projects to
"push" the new name to PWA views. Hope this helps.
