Outlook getting invalid username when connecting to project server
I can login to the project server via the browser and Project Pro 2003.
I can create new projects in Project Pro and publish them. But, I
cannot connect to the server via the plugin. Whenever I try I get an
"invalid username or password" error message.

I have checked the Project Web Access settings in Outlook and verifed
they are correct. The server is set to the same as it is in Project
Pro. I've tried the username as just the name, and tried it as
Server\username. Nothing seems to fix the problem.

Anyone have any idea how to fix this?

In the future, please post your Project Server questions to the
microsoft.public.project.server newsgroup, as this newsgroup is closing
down. To answer your questions, please try the following:

1. Launch Outlook
2. Click Tools - Options
3. Click the Project Web Access tab
4. Click the Enter Login Information button
5. Confirm that the URL is valid for Project Server by clicking the Test
Connection button
6. Assuming you are using Windows authentication with Project Server, make
sure the "Use Windows user account" option is selected
7. Click OK and then click OK again
8. Click the Import New Assignments button on the PWA toolbar in Outlook

Let us know if these steps solve your problem.

No, this did not correct the problem.

I reposted the message, along with an update, to the correct group.
Thanks for your help.
