Security and Changing the Owner of a Project
We have ProjectServer2003 and in our configuration only the administrator
appears to have the rights to 'change owner' of a project in the system via
the 'edit project' option in PWA project centre.

Does anyone know if this function can be configured as part of a user group
so we can distibute the function - none of the configurable security settings
appear to refer to this particular right.

Re: Security and Changing the Owner of a Project
Graeme --

In the future, please post your Project Server questions to the
microsoft.public.project.server newsgroup, as this newsgroup is closing
down. To answer your question, you would need to grant the Manage
Enterprise Features permission to anyone you want allow to set the Owner
field for a project in the Project Center page in PWA. The downside of
doing this, however, is that anyone with the Manage Enterprise Features
permission can see both the Admin menu and the Admin - Manage enterprise
features submenus in PWA. Hope this helps.

Re: Security and Changing the Owner of a Project
Thanks Dale, sounds promising although I agree we need to consider if we want
the side effects you state.
