Hi! I will like to know what SRS Report authoring tools are available for SRS 2005? I am using Microsoft Visual Studio Professional 2005. It works wonderfully but a client 1) wants to know what other options (tools) are out there? 2) What is the minimum module required as part of Visual Studio 2005 for them to create SRS (.rdl) reports? Also, does some version of Visual studio report builder comes along with the SQL Server 2005 installation? I have seen that before but not sure ... if somebody can confirm that will be great. Thank you!
The Business Intelligence Development Studio (essentially a stripped down Visual Studio) comes on the SQL05 disk. In order to install support for developing SRS05 reports in VS05, you must execute the install for SQL05 on the client and install the workstation components. As for other products with which to develop SRS reports, I do not know of any. -- Stephen Sanderlin Principal Consultant MSProjectExperts For Project Server Consulting: http://www.msprojectexperts.com For Project Server Training: http://www.projectservertraining.com Read my blog at: http://www.projectserverhelp.com/ Join the community at: http://forums.epmfaq.com "Avi" wrote in message news:5E22F70D-FE6B-464A-A152-A86FA840D1FB@microsoft.com: > Hi! > > I will like to know what SRS Report authoring tools are available for SRS > 2005?
