lock task start regardless of leveling
Is there a way to lock when a task starts, regardless of leveling? right now
if i have a 5 day task starting on monday morning and a 1 day task starting
on wednesday morning, and put "Must Start On" constraints on both, leveling
still moves the wednesday task to start on the next monday morning, after the
first task is done. i'd like it to split the 5 day task so that the 1 day
task is done on wednesday and the 5 day task resumes on thursday and
continues through next monday.

thanks!

Re: lock task start regardless of leveling
Hi Scott,

I suggest removing the constraints. Insert the priority field in a
task view. Set the priority of the 1 day task to 1000 and leave the
5d task to 500. In the leveling command, select the option leveling
can split and then level using Priority, Standard.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.
