Re: Microsoft Project has encountered a problem
Bill2007,
Are you using Norton Internet Security? Do you have the Norton
Office Plug-in enabled? If "yes" to both, please disable the Office
Plug-in. Restart your PC and is all fixed?
See the post titled "Microsoft Office Project has stopped working"
started on Oct 1 by "Kazier" in this newsgroup.
I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.

RE: Microsoft Project has encountered a problem
Hi; I found a solution in another thread in this Group. In Norton: In Real
Time Protection, disable scanning of Windows Office documents.

Re: Microsoft Project has encountered a problem
Thanks, Julie. I discovered the Norton Office plug-in solution and it worked
for me. Will either Norton or Microsoft fix this so that the Norton plug-in
may be turned back on?
Thanks,
Bill

Re: Microsoft Project has encountered a problem
Hi Bill,
I can't speak for either Microsoft or Norton :-) The issue with the
Norton Plug-in has been around for a fairly long time. You are not
more at risk with the plug-in disabled. As long as you are running
the rest of the virus/spam protection and it's up to date, you
should be just fine.
I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.
