Can't open published presentation in Internet Explorer
I've never had this problem before, and naturally I have 4-5 presentations I
need to post in the next couple of days. This is a fairly small
presentation, around 18 minutes long. The PPT slides contain some animated
clip art, but nothing out of the ordinary. The publishing process works as
expected and finishes OK, I get the window that pops up and says the
presentation is finished publishing. When I try to open the presentation url
in IE, I get the "loading..." message for the first couple of minutes, you
can see stuff is loading at the bottom of the screen, and then it just stops.
And freezes, I have to cont-alt-del to shut down IE. I've deleted the files
from the web server twice and republished, then I deleted the files again,
restarted my computer, and republished. Has anyone else ever had this
problem, or know the solution?

There is some sort of problem with the preloader that seems to cause this
type of behaviour. I have seen it with png files.

Try adding ... default.htm#autostart=1&nopreload=1&event=1 to the end of the
url to force the preload not to happen and see if it helps.

Re: Can't open published presentation in Internet Explorer
THANK YOU, you're awesome! Why would we EVER want to use that preloader??

Maybe on a really slow connection with really big files - I have always used
the nopreload function though because it seems to make for a better
experience.
