New release for Presio
Hello,

I just wanted to mention that we're very pleased to announce the
release of Presio 1.2 - (1.2.35 to be exact). This is a rather large
"minor" release. We’ve incorporated a lot of great feedback that we’ve
received from our early users, since releasing version 1.0 back in
February.

Not only are there bug fixes and improvements, but we’ve also added
quite a few new features. Some key additions include:

- Simplified (and more intuitive) Review Tab redesign
- New player templates, including new Picture-in-Picture and Side-by-
Side video slideshows
- Higher resolution slide captures
- New "seek to time" tools for more quickly synching slides with
existing media files
- Ability to crop clips on Review Tab
- and more...

Detailed release notes are located here:
http://ipresent.net/support/presio-rel-notes.php

If you have an earlier version of Presio, you can simply download and
install the newest version right over the old one. All your settings
and previous projects are preserved.

You can download the latest version of Presio here:
http://ipresent.net/support/presio-download.php

I hope folks don't mind me posting updates on this board. It seems
ok, as I've received lots of great feedback and praise from folks who
found us via this board, as well as from those that felt generally
abandoned by Microsoft's decision to no longer update/support
Producer. We are very committed to continuing to build an easy to use
rich media presentation tool, by listening to all the great ideas you
have - so keep them coming.

As always, if you have any questions, comments, or suggestions at all,
just let us know.

Thanks.

Re: New release for Presio
Carmen,

I can't see any problems with you posting here...

It's relevant - and like you say Microsoft have abandoned 'Producer'.

Re: New release for Presio
Keep up the good work Carmen. I've been using Presio and have been very happy
with it. I'll download the new version. Unfortunately I have a client who
needed the animation features in the slides - so I'm back to Producer
temporarily. I hope we can see that feature in a future version of Presario.

Best,
Bob

Hi Bob,

Thanks for the note.
Regarding animations - that's correct, Presio currently supports
static image captures for each animation - meaning an image is
captured and synchronized for each animation event as it occurs, but
the actual "effect" (fly-in, wipe-right, etc) is not visually
displayed.

There's more information in our knowledge base explaining this along
with a Presio presentation demonstrating animation support:
http://ipresent.net/support/kb/entry/7/

We will be addressing full animations in a future release. In the
meantime, yes Producer is a good alternative.

Thanks.
