Yes, as Brian mentions Producer was last updated nearly 5 years ago,
so you're probably not going to have much luck supporting newer
browsers, operating systems, etc.
If you are interested, you can try a new product I recently released
called Presio (http://www.ipresent.net). Presio allows you to record
audio or video and synchronize it with PowerPoint slides. You can
also import existing media files and synchronize those with slides as
well.
Presio exports to Flash, Windows Media, Quicktime, and Video Podcast
(MP4) formats so your presentations support virtually all Browser and
Operating System combinations. Presio also supports Windows XP and
Vista, as well as several version of PowerPoint (XP, 2003, and
2007).
Here are some examples of what published presentations look like using
Presio:
http://ipresent.net/Presio/examples.php
If you're interested you can download a free copy here:
http://ipresent.net/support/presio-download.php
Good luck.

Hi again
I was just looking and exploring your program
It seems very cool.
But I have some questions.
Does it support some media server if so which one?
We use microsoft media server to run the video streaming better - 1) because
we have a lot of users who can watch the presentations and 2) we can move the
index of the video streaming forward and save time.
Does your program support that ? is there any flash server which does that
maybe?

Hi Mike,
Thanks for taking a look at Presio. Answers below - also if you have
any other questions or comments just let me know.

Yes, for windows media content, published presentations can be set to
to stream from a streaming server via the mms:// protocol. However,
to enable this you need to take a few steps:
1. Within Presio Publish your presentation to the Windows Media format
2. Open the folder where the Presio presentation published to (Presio
publishes all the files necessary for web playback to a single
directory that you specify on the Publish tab, there are no sub-
folders)
3. FTP/copy the published .wmv or .wma file to your streaming server
4. Edit a file named 'WM_functions.js' and change one line to point to
the location of the media file - eg. mms://yourserver.com/folder/pres_title/1.wmv
5. Copy the remaining published files (html, slides, images, etc) to
your web server
That's it. Your presentation will playback through the web and the
media file will be streamed via your streaming server, instead of
progressively downloaded, had you just FTP'd all the published files
directly to your web server.
> We use microsoft media server to run the video streaming better - 1) because

Yes, absolutely. For windows media content, using a streaming server
is a great way to go. Follow the steps I mention above and you
everything should work well. I may try to automate the process in a
future release (maybe click a checkbox that says "Publish to Windows
Media files to:' or something like that - if folks find it useful.
Right now, the manual process outlined needs to be used.
> Does your program support that ? is there any flash server which does that

As for Flash streaming - it would the exact same way. Just change one
config file named 'SWF_functions.js' to point to your FLV streaming
server and publish the other files to you web server. As for an Flash
streaming server - take a look at this Red5 - http://osflash.org/red5
It is a very popular and robust on-demand FLV and MP3 as well live
streaming server. It works quite well and is open source.
Thanks.
