I've been having trouble with office 2007 since the service pack update. When I exit excel, powerpoint, or word, I often get an error message which is along the lines of 'Powerpoint' has stopped working, and iwhichever package I'm using reloads. I also find that if I double click on a file name to launch powerpoint from searching files, it starts powerpoint viewer. I need to load the file from powerpoint itself to get the file to load correctly. Any ideas? -- MikeM
Mike, In the first instance: I have had the same problem with both Word and PowerPoint. In my case it is definitely caused by the HP printer driver. If you have a HP printer, make the XPS driver the default and then select the HP driver when you want to print. AND COMPLAIN TO HP. THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR OVER A YEAR! HP NEEDS TO FIX THIS PROBLEM. "MikeM" wrote: > I've been having trouble with office 2007 since the service pack update. This issue has everything to do with HP printers. I have a dell XPS and had the same problem with powerpoint not shutting down correctly. It was frustrating. I uninstalled my HP printer software and now everything works great.
