Installing Office XP upgrade on new laptop
I am converting to a laptop, with Vista Home Premium installed. I want to
install my Office XP Pro. This is an upgrade from Office Pro on floppy. I
have both the original floppies and the XP upgrade CD both of which I bought
myself.

The installation of Office XP asks for the qualifying product, which is on
floppy, and my laptop has no floppy. Is there a way I can install my Office
XP Pro?

What is the name of the qualifying Office product
you have on the floppy disc?

Re: Installing Office XP upgrade on new laptop
If your upgrade product is on floppy, then I guess you need to buy an
external usb floppy, or maybe using some one elses PC try burning the
floppys to cd
PS Uninstall any trial version of Office first

Re: Installing Office XP upgrade on new laptop
Thank you for replying. I am a bit reluctant to spend money on hardware to
use once... but can you suggest a cheap external floppy drive which will work
with Vista?

http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss_gw?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=external+floppy
eBay probably has cheap drives.
