Office 2007 Enterprise Setup Succeed - But start-up problems
Everytime I start an application of OFflice 2007, I get the Configuration
Progress-screen!
Not just the first time but EVERY time.
Hoped SP1 would fixed it, but only made it worse...

I am having the same exact issue. I also get the "windows installer" pop-up
every single time, AT THE SAME TIME.

There is no fix for Office 2007. I have searched the internet and beyond
for a fix. Microsoft, please help.

Windows Vista Premium
Office 2007 Standard

RE: Office 2007 Enterprise Setup Succeed - But start-up problems
I hate to say it, but Me Too! Whenever I try to open an Office program, the
Configuration Progress window pops up.

Also, my file extenstions are mixed up. When I click on a *.msg file the
Configuration Progress window popus up, then the Windows Installer pops up
and tries to Install my OneNote 2007.

I have am mdb file that is critical to my business and cannot get it to open
in Access at all.

This is very annoying. I've uninstalled, re-installed several times.

HELP!!

RE: Office 2007 Enterprise Setup Succeed - But start-up problems
I have 2 pc. One with xp and no problems with office2007 and the other with
vista and the same problems with you every time i run an office 2007
programm. But the other differance is that in the second pc i used the trial
version and i had install the office2007 without ININSTALL the trial version.
I think that here is the problem but no solution at the moment.

RE: Office 2007 Enterprise Setup Succeed - But start-up problems
I have been trying for weeks to find the solution to the delay in opening
Word 2007 when the Configuration window opens and it takes 40 to
90 seconds to open.

Eureka!! I finally found the solution. This is from http://uksbsguy.com/
The full URL is at the bottom of the message.

I followed his instructions and IT WORKS!!!!

He is evidently a Microsoft employee.

This is his solution....

How to get rid of the installer / configuration dialog when running Office
2007 and Office 2003 on the same system - for Vista and other versions of
Windows
I have been asked this many times following up on the blog entry Installing
Office 2003 and Office 2007 on the same system where once people have
removed the problem with the End User Licensing Agreement (EULA) appearing
every time they start Office they then get the dialogs below every time they
switch between Word 2007 and Word 2003.

 when starting Word 2003

 when starting Word 2007

The fix to the problem is very simple as it turns out - simply run the
following commands (by pressing the Windows Key+R or typing it into the
Start/Run command box. Use the line with Office\11.0 if you have Office
2003 installed and Office\12.0 if you have Office 2007 installed. You can
use both if you have both installed :

reg add HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Word\Options /v NoReReg /t
REG_DWORD /d 1

reg add HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Word\Options /v NoReReg /t
REG_DWORD /d 1

That is it. Office 2007 might want to have one more spin round the block
with it's configuration dialog box, but that should be it.

RE: Office 2007 Enterprise Setup Succeed - But start-up problems
I too had the problem but think I solved it. I went in to be sure that all
my security, firewalls and antivirus was turned off. I did a remove on the
previous 2007 product install and reinstalled. I then also went on line to
MS to assure that the activation was valid. (The activation is suppose to
start with the product key if the numbers are valid). I restarted the
computer and all seems fine!!!! I have been equally frustrated with this
problem and had found no solution.
