In Office applications (most specifically Microsoft Word), it would be a very useful tool if you could research a subject based off highlighted textual strings in documents. This could also be something that could be built extensible enough to be utilized through IE. This could be implemented in a similar manner to how software developers gain focus to java constructs in the Eclipse IDE (hold down the ctl key and then left click), the underlying service would use a default or user preferred previously specified search engine to return results for any given specified screen without requiring the user to cut and paste, open another tool, or retype their search query criteria. ---------------- This post is a suggestion for Microsoft, and Microsoft responds to the suggestions with the most votes.
