Hi, I just install frontpage server extensions on a Windows 2003 server. I configure my website to use the extension ... but now when me (admin) or another user is trying to modify a web page from our frontpage problem (on our pc) we always get a popup windows to enter a username and password .... we both have right to view. modify web pages in the ntfs security of the folder and also a greated my self administrator roles in FPSE .. and author role for my user ... it seem that the security is now working correcly ... can someone help me ?
I have been getting this problem for years. Wish I had an answer. Maybe I will find one today. I hate FPSE!!!! Please just die a miserable death. Have you applied your user name to admin group for the web site? You might want to also post this issue to the Windows Server newsgroup. -- ============================================== Thomas A. When you installed the extensions, did you install them from the Windows 2003 Server CD, and at the same time that you installed IIS? -- ============================================== Thomas A. I assume so, I installed in in 2003, so it would be hard for me to say at this point. "Thomas A.
