unable to publish guestbook if FTP. I have extensions installed. Tried Frontpage or sharepoint service, but my password isn't accepted. I'm able to publish in FTP but guestbook does not work. Page is viewed but comments does not post. error message about extensions not installed comes up. Contacted server, and they say it's a program problem.
You have to publish via FP's http mode, if your login info doesn't work, then you need to contact your web host. You should never publish the guestbook from your local copy to the live site once it has started to be used on the live/remote server as you will overwrite the content. -- ============================================== Thomas A. You cannot FTP the guestbook, which is a FP component that requires the FP server extensions. Thanks for your responce. I tried to publish via FP. It won't accept my log in or password as it would in FTP. I contacted the web host and they said it is a problem with my program. What I can't understand is why is FP not accepting the login, and when it is published in FTP I get a "no extensions installed" when I do.
