Pages appear in the menu bar in Design & Preview, but not online.
FrontPage 2003

I'm a novice FP user who has never taken a FP class or read a manual.
Unfortunately all that I have managed to figure out has come through trial
and error and cussing. Here is the issue:

I recently added two new pages to the navigaion structure by copying and
pasting existing pages. These names are visible and functioning in the menu
link bar in Design and Preview modes from within FP. However, in the
published site, they do not appear in the menu even though they are
accessible through hyperlinks. Also, on those particular pages, the menu bar
does not appear at all (the title "Menu" does, but there is no content below
where there should be links for Home, Up and other pages within the same
level).

I'm sure I'm probably missing some simple, obvious thing due to my lack of
"proper" learning of this product....I would appreciate any assistance anyone
might have to offer! Feel free to being your reply with "...duh! You should
have...."

Re: Pages appear in the menu bar in Design & Preview, but not online.
Did you Publish the entire web site to the internet location, or just
the individual pages? If the website has FrontPage extensions then when
you change the navigation structure the entire site has to be published
(though this can be restricted to changed pages only). Publishing the
site also updates the navigation on the server.

Try recalculating hyperlinks under Tools with all pages closed (you should
do this before every publish anyway) and make sure your not cached in the
browser also. Recalculating should repoint everything correctly... better
though much better to use a menu system that you have some control over ...
using FrontPage Includes lets you do that.

The help in fp is really quite good .... I used it as my starting point some
years ago .. that and asking questions here of course:)
