Hi, When I open my web page up in Frontpage 2003 (I was previously using an older version, 2000 I think), an error notice comes up saying: Couldnât open file: C:\Users\Liz\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files\FrontpageTempDir\3e87886f.htm. Can anyone tell me what this means and how I can fix my problem? Many thanks.
Go here: http://www.95isalive.com/fixes/fpclean.htm and download FP Cleaner ( with Expression Web Designer and SharePoint Designer support ) Download links are at the bottom of the page. Run the functions that clear: The Hidden Temporary files. The Hidden Cache (*.web) files. See if it helps. -- Steve Easton Microsoft MVP FrontPage FP Cleaner http://www.95isalive.com/fixes/fpclean.htm Hit Me FP http://www.95isalive.com/fixes/HitMeFP.htm "Liverlass3981" wrote in message news:3D659BF3-96E5-4B8A-984D-B93605814EC8@microsoft.com... > Hi, > When I open my web page up in Frontpage 2003 (I was previously using an > older version, 2000 I think), an error notice comes up saying: > Couldn't open file: > > C:\Users\Liz\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet > Files\FrontpageTempDir\3e87886f.htm. > > Can anyone tell me what this means and how I can fix my problem? Hi Steve - I have a question related to the FrontPageTempDir file location. Every time I save a page in Front Page it takes a least a minute, sometimes longer, to save. I notice that the file is saving in my local files ... Temporary Internet Files\FrontpageTempDir\ ... It is excrutiating waiting for these files to save! I use Front Page 2003. Will the FP Cleaner help solve this problem too? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! It should, it cleans out that folder. You should also clear your temporary internet and history files from time to time. -- Steve Easton Microsoft MVP FrontPage FP Cleaner http://www.95isalive.com/fixes/fpclean.htm Hit Me FP http://www.95isalive.com/fixes/HitMeFP.htm "ccwadsworth" wrote in message news:1D8A979F-E7E3-449C-AEC2-2935132F4537@microsoft.com... > Hi Steve - I have a question related to the FrontPageTempDir file location. > Every time I save a page in Front Page it takes a least a minute, sometimes > longer, to save.
