I have Windows Vista Home Premium and Office 2007 Professional. I've used Outlook 2007 for a year or more without problems. Suddenly I could no longer use hyperlinks found in my email messages. The error message I get is "This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system administrator." This was true both for new messages and old messages where the hyperlinks formerly worked with no problem. The problem occurs when I was running as Standard User or Administrator. I've not messed with UAC. Problem started occuring at least two weeks after the last Office update was installed so that seemed to be an unlikely source of the problem. I found KB310049 which seemed to address the problem. I tried the two recommended solutions. IE7 was and continues to be my default browser, so that suggested resolution did not seem applicable. The other resolution was to import a registry key from another computer. The latter did not fix the problem. I had made very few changes to Windows settings or other software settings that coinicided with the first occurrence of my problem. No new programs were installed nor uninstalled. Help!! -- Eager to learn and pass on what I do know.
