A DL was sent to me from another Outlook 2007 user but I need to know how to import the file into my contacts so I can use it. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
That would depend on how the DL was sent and in what format, neither of which you specified. The correct method for doing this is for the sender to insert the DL as an Outlook Item in an RTF message. Then all you need do is double click the Item to open it and Save it to place it in your default Contacts Folder. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "DrGood" wrote in message news:C8B10255-4917-44FF-8AD3-AC47AC888A0D@microsoft.com... >A DL was sent to me from another Outlook 2007 user but I need to know how >to > import the file into my contacts so I can use it. > > Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. > > Thanks.

I have a colleague who had the same problem in Outlook 2007. Open the message containing the distribution list this should be an attachment (don't open the attachment), then open your contacts in a new window, drag the attachment into your contact window. The list will now be in your contacts. Shirl -- shirl
