First, Outlook MUST be closed when you copy a PST to CD. Second, the PST
must be on the hard drive and cannot be read-only, which always happens when
copying from a CD.
When the problem is the read-only attribute, Outlook usually gives you a
message that indicates it can't open the file for writing. The message
you're seeing is typical for when the PST was copied incorrectly in the
first place (i.e., with Outlook open), but it may be caused by the read-only
condition.
