Searching for Internet Fax in outlook help finds no relevant entries. However an Internet Fax company has just told me about the internet fax integration feature of office 2007. I downloaded and ran an executable from their website that reportedly modified the registry to work with their service. Now when I click on internet fax the body of the message looks like a fax cover page with numerous fields. But after selecting a recipient only 2 of the fields on the cover page (company name and sender name) are populated. All of the other fields appear as "Type recipient name here" etc. Shouldn't all of these fields automatically populate?
One would think. One would also think you would ask the third party vendor responsible for this support. It is not an Outlook issue with which anyone here could help you. I would expect each vendor differs greatly in how well they can pull data from your Contacts Folder. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "ctc" wrote in message news:41717B38-DE40-4699-B4DA-E0F4662D3ADC@microsoft.com... > Searching for Internet Fax in outlook help finds no relevant entries. > However > an Internet Fax company has just told me about the internet fax > integration > feature of office 2007. > > I downloaded and ran an executable from their website that reportedly > modified the registry to work with their service. Yes, I have since received a reply from them that their integration was written for office 2003 and is hit or miss with 2007. I guess I'll try a different service. FWIW, I've had no trouble using Venali. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "ctc" wrote in message news:058BFEC6-F7EF-409C-B008-F17ED57CD880@microsoft.com... > Yes, I have since received a reply from them that their integration was > written for office 2003 and is hit or miss with 2007. What version of outlook are you using? I asked Venali tech support if the outlook 2007 internet fax service worked with their service including autopopulating the fax cover page and was told yes. But after signing up, their support "manager" said that it worked with 2003 but not 2007 and they have no plans to make it work!? She recommended that I write fax cover sheets in word and add them as attachments...give me a break whats the fing computer for? how about a little integration? So thats 2 strikes, both venali and MyFax won't autopopulate coverpages with outlook 2007. Now what, back to the fax console!!! Are you using the internet fax feature or 2007 or are you typing in the recipients fax number@venali.net? What fields do you have in your custom cover page? Do they all autopopulate or do you manually type them for each fax? Where does your cover page reside, locally as an attachment or on their server? Thank you. Internet Fax.
