Hi I tried to expose SCL in OL2007 using the following: http://msexchangeteam.com/archive/2004/05/26/142607.aspx Somehow, I can not add/move the Form from the personal container to the right in 6. of the instructions. It works with another Form like this: http://msexchangeteam.com/archive/2005/10/13/412487.aspx Any ideas why the SCL cannot be added? Thanks Franz
See if the instructions here are easier to follow: http://www.slipstick.com/exs/customfields.htm or remove the form and try republishing it again. -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Outlook Tips by email: mailto:dailytips-subscribe-request@lists.outlooktips.net EMO - a weekly newsletter about Outlook and Exchange: mailto:EMO-NEWSLETTER-SUBSCRIBE-REQUEST@PEACH.EASE.LSOFT.COM Let's Really Fix Outlook 2010 http://forums.slipstick.com/forumdisplay.php?f=34 "Franz Leu" wrote in message news:utQf0iy#JHA.4432@TK2MSFTNGP05.phx.gbl... > Hi > > I tried to expose SCL in OL2007 using the following: > http://msexchangeteam.com/archive/2004/05/26/142607.aspx > > Somehow, I can not add/move the Form from the personal container to the > right in 6. of the instructions. > > It works with another Form like this: > http://msexchangeteam.com/archive/2005/10/13/412487.aspx > > Any ideas why the SCL cannot be added? > Thanks > Franz
Not an answer to your question. Just want to say that exposing SCL trick doesn't work with OL2007. I've seen posts asking the same question, why SCL values are not visible when using OL2007. If you have one on the right called Messages, remove it and then SCL should be available (and show the SCL #) -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Outlook Tips by email: mailto:dailytips-subscribe-request@lists.outlooktips.net EMO - a weekly newsletter about Outlook and Exchange: mailto:EMO-NEWSLETTER-SUBSCRIBE-REQUEST@PEACH.EASE.LSOFT.COM Let's Really Fix Outlook 2010 http://forums.slipstick.com/forumdisplay.php?f=34 "John" <a> wrote in message news:#DGStEz#JHA.1336@TK2MSFTNGP05.phx.gbl... > Not an answer to your question. SCL field is available. I can drag/drop the field to my Inbox (view). The problem is it's all blank if I use OL2007 to view it. I can see the values if I use OL2003/2002 or OWA. Some have reported that it works fine with OL2007. I can't verify that though because I have never got it to work properly with OL2007. It works fine (for me) with 2007. Are you using cached mode? Have you tried resetting the view and adding the field back? -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Outlook Tips by email: mailto:dailytips-subscribe-request@lists.outlooktips.net EMO - a weekly newsletter about Outlook and Exchange: mailto:EMO-NEWSLETTER-SUBSCRIBE-REQUEST@PEACH.EASE.LSOFT.COM Let's Really Fix Outlook 2010 http://forums.slipstick.com/forumdisplay.php?f=34 "John" <a> wrote in message news:ercy41z#JHA.4560@TK2MSFTNGP03.phx.gbl... > SCL field is available. Another proof that exposing SCL trick doesn't work for some of us. I'd love to know what causes the values to fail to show up. It bugs me that no one has figured out why it doesn't work for some people. :) -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Outlook Tips by email: mailto:dailytips-subscribe-request@lists.outlooktips.net EMO - a weekly newsletter about Outlook and Exchange: mailto:EMO-NEWSLETTER-SUBSCRIBE-REQUEST@PEACH.EASE.LSOFT.COM Let's Really Fix Outlook 2010 http://forums.slipstick.com/forumdisplay.php?f=34 "Franz Leu" wrote in message news:u5XgW7IAKHA.3708@TK2MSFTNGP02.phx.gbl... > John schrieb: >> Another proof that exposing SCL trick doesn't work for some of us. > It bugs me that no one has figured out why it doesn't work for some people. > :) I too ran into the problem with Outlook 2007 SP1 with a backend of SBS2003 R2. Tried everything in every way, but always blank. Knowing when I was beaten, I tried the OTHER way of doing it, the easier more versatile way, and that worked, ShowSCL: http://www.ivasoft.biz/showscl.shtml
