Iinstalled SQl Server Express - was able to connect databases but can't use design view to create queries/functions/views. Are there any Access patches to allow this. Error message says something to the effect that I need different version of Visual Studio. Visual Studio 2005 installed with the download of SQL Server Express. Would sure not want to be forced to go back to MSDE. Tools actually exist with Express.
Access 2003 cannot be used in design mode for any version of SQL-Server 2005 and there is no available patche. You must use the tool that comes with Express or wait for Access 2006. -- Sylvain Lafontaine, ing. You are correct... Do note that the next verson of ms-access will fix this..and will work as a adp.... -- Albert D. Kallal (Access MVP) Edmonton, Alberta Canada pleaseNOOSpamKallal@msn.com http://www.members.shaw.ca/AlbertKallal
Albert, This answer is about 1 1/2 years old. Is this still true? Are my only options to leave it as an mdb rather than an adp or upgrade to 2007? -- Dave Hargis, Microsoft Access MVP "Albert D.Kallal" wrote: > You are correct... > > Do note that the next verson of ms-access will fix this..and will work as a > adp.... > > > -- > Albert D.
