REQ: Need Help - Excel 2007 Blank Workbook opens in Compatibility Mode   

While the help file says it is not possible, a co-worker's Excel 2007
installation is creating new files in Compatibility Mode. We cannot find
how to force Excel 2007 to create new files in .xlsx (2007) format.

If anyone here has experienced this, what is the fix?

Select Office Button/Excel Options/Save and change the field "Save files in 
this format"
