Office Assistant and Tab Settings
I've been using Word 97 for ages, since it was new. Recently, though, I
installed Office 2007 "Home & Student" version, and it apparently messed
up my Normal.dot file. Now I have issues.

First and foremost: How do I get rid of the Stupid, %^&$@*
Paperclip??!!?? I once knew how to do it, but now he doesn't seem to
want to disappear.

Second, I've lost all my formatting of either outline form, or indenting
with bullets. Used to be, I could indent (in normal view) with bullets,
and each indent level got its own symbol. Now they're always the same
closed 'o' bullet. Also, the depth of the indent varies from level to level.

I tried switching to Outline view, but that's even worse. Not only the
indent levels, but the fonts, change in seemingly random ways.

While I've got your attention: Is there any way to configure Home &
Student to look more professional? Currently the toolbars and borders
take up most of the screen.

For that matter, what the heck _IS_ H&S?? I was told it was just the
newest version of Word, but it looks more like a minimal subset (Works,
maybe???).

Thanks

Jack

Re: Office Assistant and Tab Settings
While you might have been using Word for years, I would suggest that you
post your question to the microsoft.public.word.newusers or
microsoft.public.word.numbering newsgroups where people who are more likely
to have a solution to these issues may see it.

You're welcome. If you consider the amount of traffic in this newsgroup,
your chance of getting the help that you sought was next to nothing anyway.
