Help please
I am using Word97 because I love it. I attempted to find a newsgroup for 97
but cannot seem to find one, can anyone direct me to some help?

The problem that occurs is that when I attempt to open a Word document, say
from my desktop, I get this error message: "This action is only valid for
products that are currently installed" Well, 97 is installed. When I open
97 and click on File>Open it certainly opens the document. Should anyone be
able to point me in the right direction to fix this I would appreciate it.

Thank you,

Harley

See the article "How to re-register Word when problems crop up opening
 files" at:

Hope this helps.

Please reply to the newsgroup unless you wish to avail yourself of my
services on a paid consulting basis.

Hi Doug,

Tried your suggestion........nothing changed, still won't open. Maybe it
has something to do with the fact that my OS is Vista Premium? Any other
suggestions? Thanks again.
