I am using Word97 because I love it. I attempted to find a newsgroup for 97 but cannot seem to find one, can anyone direct me to some help? The problem that occurs is that when I attempt to open a Word document, say from my desktop, I get this error message: "This action is only valid for products that are currently installed" Well, 97 is installed. When I open 97 and click on File>Open it certainly opens the document. Should anyone be able to point me in the right direction to fix this I would appreciate it. Thank you, Harley
See the article "How to re-register Word when problems crop up opening files" at: http://www.word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErrors/ReRegisterWord.htm -- Hope this helps. Please reply to the newsgroup unless you wish to avail yourself of my services on a paid consulting basis. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that my OS is Vista Premium? Any other suggestions? Thanks again. Harley
