Often, CPU goes to 100% when Word or IE is opened. Checked Word support and the forum. Tried downloading latest service packs and changing ie's advanced settings. Still having same problem. System has 1.25gig RAM, a new hp laptop with centrino chip. Running office 2000. Word version 9.0.2720. Any ideas? -- servant-CEO
