Would someone please give me a basic overview, of where/how I set up an 
instant email to be generated when a certain parameter is returned.

I am not sure what this has to do with User Forms, which is the topic of 
this newsgroup, but assuming that you are indeed talking about the use of 
VBA in Word, see the article "How to send an email from Word using VBA" at:
