A new software package was installed and it's placed a new word toolbar on word (v2000) for all users. Even if I deselect it in the toolbars list it reappears later. The toolbar appears when word is first opened, ie without opening a document. I'm not able to determine where the toolbar comes from. There are no add ins listed. I don't see any macros associated with normal.dot. Can anyone tell me where else the toolbar might be being called from?
The toolbar will be installed by an Add-in. See the article "What do Templates and Add-ins store?" at: http://www.word.mvps.org/FAQs/Customization/WhatTemplatesStore.htm -- Hope this helps.
