VBA Word document with dynamic features
I was looking for a programmer who can create (using VBA) a Word
document with some dynamic features. From what I know, it's not a
terribly difficult document to create, but I had trouble finding
someone who understands how to do it.

I work for a website called Rent A Coder, and we're going to use the
document for something related to the site. Unfortunately, when I
posted my requirements for the document on the site, all of the coders
who responded tried to convince me not to make my application a Word
document. They each wanted me to hire them to make the application in
formats that they had more knowledge about.

I was surprised that not one coder I spoke with seemed to know much
about Word customization with VBA. The CEO of my company recommended
that I check in with the Usenet Microsoft forums, because the people
who answer questions here seem to know what they're doing. I think
the word.vba.customization forum is exactly where I should be looking
for help.

I couldn't find anyone on RAC with enough VBA experience to take on
my project, so I would like to see if anyone who is knowledgeable here
would be willing to take a look at my project and have a crack at it
(or even just give me input about it).

I promise that this is not a crumby way to drag people to some website.

I thought that this would be a good place to find some experts. If
you're interested in the project (it is a paying job), please have a
look.

I hope that asking you to look at another website doesn't offend
anyone here. This is not a mass posting, and I couldn't find any
rules against posting a commercial project here. If this is against
the rules, then I apologize in advance and ask the moderator to please
let me know, in which case I will make sure to not do it again. I'm
just hoping that someone here will have the knowledge (and the
interest) to handle my project. Thank you.

The requirements for the VBA Word document are at
http://www.rentacoder.com/RentACoder/misc/BidRequests/ShowBidRequest.asp?lngBidRequestId=377123

Sincerely,
Dawn Ippolito

Re: VBA Word document with dynamic features
Dear Dawn,

I don't want to go around the question you posted, but look at
www.mvps.org

A wealth of information to be collected there, I'm sure will be of use.
But of course you can address anyone in this newsgroup to possibly meet yr
needs
(paid or unpaid)
If you mean serious business, keep the rest of the communication out of the
newsgroups
unless it can benefit the rest (unpaid) ...

Krgrds,
Perry

Correct, Perry.
Thanks for pointing Steve to it.

I'll look into the MVPs. Thank you.

I'm glad to hear that. I hope my post will find someone interested and
capable.

Absolutely. Don't want to bog down the newsgroup with information they
don't care about. So... if anyone is interested in this project, then
you can email me directly (at the address below, not my signup address)
or you can post to the project page:

http://www.rentacoder.com/RentACoder/misc/BidRequests/ShowBidRequest.asp?lngBidRequestId=377123

If I do come upon any useful information, I'll be sure to bring it to
the newsgroup.

Thanks for your help, Perry.
