i have microsoft 2002 i was trying to copy a blog article whilst preserving its formatting, into word. instead of showing the blog article as is, with its coloured text and its template, word simply copies the text and the pictures from the article without formatting (as in, the background behind the text won't show, or the alignment is off) are there any options to allow word to allow the formatting to show? or am i just using an old version which doesnt support the preservation of formatting? i have tried the 'paste special' option without success. some formatting is still lost. ps: i have copied it with formatting intact before, which is why im so agitated that it doesn't work on this particular pc! thanks!
Note that what formats can be pasted depends on the source as well as on the target application. You may want to save the HTML file to disk, instead, using your browser. -- Stefan Blom Microsoft Word MVP "VodkaBee" wrote in message news:4C87EB68-E78C-46BE-A393-013D6BCDA560@microsoft.com... > i have microsoft 2002 > i was trying to copy a blog article whilst preserving its formatting, into > word. > instead of showing the blog article as is, with its coloured text and its > template, word simply copies the text and the pictures from the article > without formatting (as in, the background behind the text won't show, or > the > alignment is off) > are there any options to allow word to allow the formatting to show? or am > i > just using an old version which doesnt support the preservation of > formatting? i have tried the 'paste special' option without success. some > formatting is still lost. > ps: i have copied it with formatting intact before, which is why im so > agitated that it doesn't work on this particular pc! > thanks! >
