Hi there, We are starting Exams next week and we are unable to disable the spell check in Microsoft Word 2007. In Word 2002 we could just rename the Proof folder on the C Drive to quickly break the spell check ability for the exams but in 2007 there seems to be no way to disable it. Even uninstalling the Proofing Tools does not seem to work despite there being an error to say that the option is not install but goes and checks it anyway. Any help on this would be great as I only have a few days to resolve this. Steven Jones.

Firstly, my apologies for not answering your question; secondly, if you don't want to answer my question, fair enough. I'm intrigued as to which syllabus you're following that requires students to use a word processor but won't let them use the spell check. Not just idle curiosity, I do have a professional interest. -- PeterMcC If you feel that any of the above is incorrect, inappropriate or offensive in any way, please ignore it and accept my apologies.
I'm afraid I don't know of hand as I'm just the IT Technician who is investigating this issue. But all I know is they are candidates who have some special needs where they need to type rather than write. So spell check would need to have been disabled to avoid the perception of they are gaining an advantage.
