WORD 2003: Thesaurus question
Hi

I just noticed that, when using thesaurus, it tries to access office online.
Is there a way to disable this, and to use the local thesaurus as default?

Thanks

Kory

Hi Kory,

You'll get greater resources by using the online choice, but if you use Ctrl+F1 to bring up the Task Pane, switch to the 'Research'
taskpane from the dropdown arrow at the top of the task pane and at the bottom of the Research task pane choose 'Research Options'
you'll see the services/resources currently include in the search.

To limit the times Word accesses the Internet also uncheck the online content choice in Help=>Customer Feedback Options.

Re: WORD 2003: Thesaurus question
Hi Bob

Thanks for your reply.
I had a look into this.
I tried to disable nearly everything, but still when you use thesaurus, it
will try to access internet first.
I did read up somewhere, that disabling online content does not disable
thesaurus hitting the internet as default.
Any other ideas?

Thanks

Kory
