Can Word be told to replace specific misspellings with a certain word?
I badly mistype some words when rushing that I know how to spell, but
the spell checker suggestions do not always come up with the word I
mean. Can Word be told to replace specific common misspellings with a
certain word?

Cheers

Tools > Autocorrect options > Autocorrect

Also: Whenever you do a F7 (or whatever) spelling check, be
sure to click on the "Autocorrect" button in the dialog that
pops up. Over time you will populate the Autocorrect list
with your own common misspellings and their corrections.

Thank you - very much appreciated.

That is really helpful, thank you, and it works but ... when I import
the text from another piece of software because the text is already
there and I am not typing it in, the autocorrect does not work. Is
there a way of getting Word to scan the document and make the changes
based on the words imported and not typed in?

Cheers
