Using Word 2007 on XP. I modified my normal.dotm and the word.qat file on my desktop Word. I want to copy those files to my laptop so it's the same as my desktop settings. But those modifications do not appear on my laptop. The laptop still has the default normal.dotm and the QAT bar doesn't change at all. This is where I copied the files and placed the files on my laptop. C:\documents and settings\my username\AppData\Microsoft\Templates\normal.dotm C:\documents and settings\my username\LocalSettings\Appl Data\Microsoft\Office\word.qat
Hi Asaul, Assuming that 'AppData' is the \Application Data\ folder then in Windows XP that would generally be the correct location for a specific user setting. If you modify the Quick Access toolbar in Word 2007 then close Word and search for Word.QAT (created in last 1 day) from Start=>Search what folder does the new Word.QAT file show up in? You can make a similar change to Normal.dotm by changing the default font pair, or a template style change and setting as Default. ============= <<"Trainer" wrote in message news:%23lqMcaNlIHA.2328@TK2MSFTNGP03.phx.gbl...
