We are currently using a Courier New 9-pt font in an Access report. I need to squeeze it to change the landscape orientation to portrait. At the moment, I'm using SimSun, which saves me a bit of room. Are there any recommendations for a mono-spaced sans-serif narrow or condensed font that is easily readable at 9 point? I have all the standard Windows XP system fonts. Ed
I do not think any of the Windows-supplied fonts meet the hopes of your requirements. One or more of these from March Fonts might be appropriate. No doubt, more are available from other foundries. http://www.matchfonts.com/pages/monospaced_fonts.html They are available in TrueType or PostScript Type 1 (not OpenType) and are optimized for use for printed material. There is a plethora of fonts available that may be suitable for your particular purposes. Since you appear to be switching from a serif face (Courier) to a sans-serif, the "style" will differ from the previous. The various sans-serif fonts have a wide style range, from classic to ultra-modern. - Character
Hi Ed, You could try MS Gothic at a smaller point size. It's characters are taller than SimSun, so they have something of the effect of a more condensed font.
