Word printing issue
Hi, I'm using Word 2003 and I have a regular text document using the built-in
Times New Roman font. I use light grey color font(same font) on partial of
the text. When I do the print preview, I can see everything comes out
correctly. But when I print it out onto a black and white laser printer,
there's no color difference on all the text. They're all dark as usual. I try
different light color, different font, different black and white laser
printer, the outcome is still the same. Does anyone know that I need to print
to a color printer in order to achieve the result? Even I just need light
grey color result? Thanks in advanced.

Sam.

Re: Word printing issue
On the Compatibility tab of Tools | Options, make sure "Print colors as
black on noncolor printers" is not checked and then substitute a color such
as yellow. My experience with monochrome lasers is that whether they print
grey text depends on the driver, but even drivers that won't print grey text
will print yellow as grey.

Re: Word printing issue
Thanks for the suggestion Suzanne, but that option is unchecked(by default),
plus I did try light yellow color before and the printing is still the
same(all perfect dark).

Re: Word printing issue
Check the printer properties then; make sure it's not set for draft
printing, and see if there's a setting that relates to grayscale vs. B&W.
