Re: Suddenly Printer Wont Work
Thanks everybody.
I downloaded the drivers from HP. Drat! 20 meg on a dialup? Even
then, I only got a generic monochrome driver. But after turning the
computer off, having a good night's sleep, and turning it back on --
the "found new hardware" wizard came up. With my coffee at hand, I
was alert enough to point the wizard to the HP inf file, and YES! IT
WORKED! My HP printer dialog boxes are back to normal, and I can get
a color printout.

Ouch! I wouldn't have wished that on anyone. I was on dial-up myself until
quite recently, and I would not, I think, have considered it (or at least I
would have tried the Windows XP driver first). Sorry for the bum steer!
