font colour?
Is it possible to create a font that has the colour of gold?

Kind regards

Re: font colour?
Select Font from the Format menu and then in the Font dialog, use the Font
color: pull down to select the "Gold" color.

Re: font colour?
To get something that looks like really gold lettering requires an
application more sophisticated than Word because you have to use a color
gradient, some fancy shading, etc.

The replies you've received address methods of adding color to text. This is
because fonts themselves can't carry any color information, they're just one
color and background.

There are numerous text effect techniques available in graphic applications that
specialize in them. A nice one is FontTwister, free from Neuber.com. There are
dozens of others, both free and commercial. These include TextTone, Xara, Font
FX and more. There are also LOTS of on-line tutorials.

Major illustration/paint/draw programs can also do such things. These include
Photoshop, Illustrator, Corel Draw, and many more.

RE: font colour?
If you want an effect that applies a metallic sheen to the letters and/or
graphics, there is a product called Lasercolor. It is a foil that you attach
over a page printed in black on a laser printer, and run the page through the
printer, printing a blank page. The heat of the printer fuses the colored
foil to the black toner on the page. Look for it at www.paperdirect.com

Re: font colour?
Has anybody actually had much success with that? I tried a sample once and
wasn't very satisfied with the results.

Re: font colour?
I use it all the time, quite successfully. The trick is to use very smooth
paper - card stock must be 110 lb index, not 67 lb cover stock which is
somewhat rough. For letter-weight, try a very bright surface (at least 94%)
which is smoother, or an inkjet paper.
