Re: word 2007 keeps .doc file locked after save
hmm, unfortunately I'm opening it readonly already.
I've tried every combination I can think of opening it, re-saving several
times in different formats, but whenever I save as xml or as docx, the
original .doc file stays locked

Re: word 2007 keeps .doc file locked after save
Just as a follow up, I have raised this with microsoft suport and they
are going to raise it as a bug with the product team
(though the product team might still decide it is a feature !!)

Re: word 2007 keeps .doc file locked after save
Has there been any update on this? I am having the same issue at a customer
site... its just on a single Office 2007, its getting the file is locked, but
there are no users accessing these files, they are not opened any where else.

Anybody hear about a fix? I have had to downgrade back to 2003 because of
this problem. I cannot put in a trouble ticket to our IT department since
they haven't officially rolled it out yet so they don't support it.
