I really hate how find works in word. I search a word in a document and word takes me to all of them one by one. I cannot go to the previous match if I accidently have skipped it. Why not just design it as in acrobat reader. Indicate all matching cases in a column. rrrrr

The Find Previous button at the bottom of the vertical scroll bar will take you back to a previous match. -- Suzanne S. The other suggestions you got will work perfectly well. If you prefer the Acrobat Reader's find dialog, I have one for you. Download finder.zip from http://jay-freedman.info and unzip it into your Word Startup folder (%appdata%\Microsoft\Word\Startup). It assigns itself to the Ctrl+Alt+F shortcut. -- Regards, Jay Freedman Microsoft Word MVP FAQ: http://word.mvps.org Email cannot be acknowledged; please post all follow-ups to the newsgroup so all may benefit.
