In Word 2007, I'm trying to insert a nonbreaking space inside a graphic shape. Unfortunately, "Insert Tab > Symbol > More Symbols..." dialog doesn't offer a Special Characters section when the cursor is inside a shape. Are there any workarounds? Thanks, Charles

Hi Charles, If you start a new document and use Insert=>Shapes and select a Word text box do you get the same result? By default text in shapes uses the 'normal' style and the 'Special Characters' dialog should be available. If you still have the issue, start Word 2007 in safe mode (hold ctrl key when starting Word) and try again with a new document to see if you still get the behavior. ============ >> wrote in message news:b864c776-a51e-4f29-bfdd-c7db26d0582c@m45g2000hsb.googlegroups.com...
