Linked images fail to load when viewed on other machines
Hi, when I open my word documents on a different machine, all the images
(both linked and embedded) fail to load; they show up as placeholders with
the red X indicating a broken link (I have made sure that the 'placeholder'
option is off).

The images are inserted into table cells of the same size as the image.
There is also a text box on top of the image (in each cell) to position text
properly. If I change the image layout to Behind Text (on the other machine),
the image becomes visible, but unselectable (nothing is selected when it is
clicked; the edges of the image should still be selectable as the text box
doesn't stretch that far). This wouldn't be too bad, except that there are
eight cells / images per page, and anywhere from 2 to 25 pages (there are
usually only 4 different image sources).

 - The .doc and the images (.png and .jpg) are all in the same folder on a
flash drive.
 - The two machines are both running identical versions of Word 2003 SP3.
 - I have also tried opening in Word 2007 with identical results.
