There is no stock feature in Word to enable that... Perhaps it can be
handled with VBA, but the best policy is to edit the images using a capable
graphics program first. Set them to the appropriate resolution, print
dimensions as well as any other editing required & save in an appropriate
image file format before they're inserted into the document.
FYI - shrinking raster images by 70% (even 1/2 that amount) in a program not
designed & equipped for the purpose most likely will deteriorate the
fidelity of the image - perhaps beyond recognition.
Clip Art & drawn shapes are a totally different type of graphic which
"stretch" very nicely, but photographs are a totally different matter.
