I have a merged word document (a form letter) that contains the 1700+ names and addresses ... I need to get these names and addresses out of the merged document and into an Access db or Excel spreadsheet. I know the names and addresses are seen as such because when I click the "Mailings" tab, then the "Envelopes" option, in the "Create" pane, a window opens with a correct "Delivery Address." (I'm using Word 2007) Sureley there's a way to reverse this information out of the document ... Can anyone point me in the right direction?
How are the names and addresses arranged in the document? What else does the document contain? -- <>>< ><<> ><<> <>>< ><<> <>>< <>><<> Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site http://word.mvps.org <>>< ><<> ><<> <>>< ><<> <>>< <>><<> Chip Dukes wrote: > I have a merged word document (a form letter) that contains the 1700+ > names and addresses ... Everything is in a tidy little 3 or 4 line block at the top left of the page, under the logo. Even Word itself can recognize it as an address block, as I mentioned I could generate labels from the document itself. If you want to send me the first two of three pages of the document I will have a look tomorrow to see what can be done. Use the link on the home page of my web site. Blank out anything that is sensitive. -- <>>< ><<> ><<> <>>< ><<> <>>< <>><<> Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site http://word.mvps.org <>>< ><<> ><<> <>>< ><<> <>>< <>><<> Chip Dukes wrote: > Everything is in a tidy little 3 or 4 line block at the top left of > the page, under the logo.
