lost text
I am opening a word document that says it is 23.5 KB in size but when opened
there is no text. I previously had copyed and pasted it and now it is gone
when I open the document. HELP!

Re: lost text
What _do_ you see when you open the document? Maybe it accidentally
got marked "Hidden" -- click the paragraph-sign button to Show Non-
Printing Characters and any Hidden text will show, too.

If you copied and pasted it someplace else, you could retrieve it from
the else place.

Re: lost text
Thank you for your response. I tried the paragraph-sige button, the versions
link, recovering the text and damaged document proceedures but nothing works.
It just vanished yet the document description does not show it as empty. I
am trying to recover it so I can paste it again as I lost the document in the
original past that was sent.

Re: lost text
See adjacent thread about an entire text that accidentally got put
inside a Field -- select the whole (invisible) text with Ctrl-A and
right-click and see if "toggle field codes" is a choice. If it is, do
so. (Safer than typing the various F9 combinations.)
