Even if you mean 'alphabetic' your message makes no sense.  What *exactly* 
do you want to achieve.

If you have a list of names you wish to alphabetize, select the list and 
choose Table - Sort. Even though it's not a table, this will work on any 
list.

If you're using Word 2007, you would need to add the Sort command to the 
Quick Access Toolbar (which by default resides in Word's title bar). Right 
click the QAT and choose Customize. Set Choose Commands From: to All 
Commands. In the  S's find Sort... and click on it, then click on Add, and 
then on OK. Now you will be able to use the Sort command from the QAT.
