How do I delete files that are empyt from Word. They stay on the list and they are empty. This makes no sence. I do not know which files have something in them until I click on them and it gives me a message that there is nothing ther and I cannot get rid of it.

Howdy, What happens if you right click on the file, and then click Delete? All the best, -- Kenneth If you email... Please remove the "SPAMLESS."
It depends on the version. In Word 2007, the only way to do it is by reducing the list to zero (or by editing the Registry). In Word 2003 or earlier, to remove a file from the MRU list at the bottom of the File menu, press Ctrl+Alt+Hyphen and click on the file you want to remove. This will also remove it from the list of recent documents in the Getting Started task pane. -- Suzanne S.
