Re: Locating Templates in Word 2003
In addition to what Suzanne has said, Word 2003, by default, saves documents
saved as templates in the User Template folder (which is defined at Tools >
Options > File Locations > User Templates.) Any template in that folder or a
sub-folder of that folder will appear in the File > New dialog either
directly or under a tab of the same name as the sub-folder. It is not
necessary nor desirable to add document templates to Tools > Templates and
Add-ons.
For faster access to your document templates, add the FileNewDialog command
to your standard toolbar in addition to, or in place of, the New command.
