I have my normal.dot and a special menu (menu.dot) which contains macros to open documents. When in "Template manager"? (I've got the Swedish version here) I add menu.dot to normal.dot the menu.dot gets ticked and the menu macros open documents. Saving normal.dot and restarting word I find that the menu.dot is still attached to normal.dot but not ticked. The menus doesn't opening anything, but rather produce a "Macro not found". Ticking menu.dot in the "template manager" and the menus open documents once again. I can't ask my users to tick the menu.dot every day, and I am surely missing something - but what?
For a global template to be automatically available it should be installed in the Word (or Office) startup folder. It has nothing to do with normal.dot. -- <>>< ><<> ><<> <>>< ><<> <>>< <>><<> Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site http://word.mvps.org <>>< ><<> ><<> <>>< ><<> <>>< <>><<> Martin S wrote: > I have my normal.dot and a special menu (menu.dot) which contains > macros to open documents. Quick check and that seems to solve it. And to think we had a "consultant" to create and update our templates leaving us in this mess..... Thanks.
